How to read these rankings
- Your NEET All-India Rank
- Your own rank in the NEET exam across India (from NTA). Smaller is better. Use it for every category.
- Closing rank (Round 1, 2, 3, Stray)
- The highest All-India Rank that still got a seat at that college in 2026, for one quota, category and round, from MCC’s official results. The stray vacancy round is the last round. If your rank is equal or smaller, it got in that year.
- ★ NIRF 2025 #
- The government’s quality ranking of institutions (Ministry of Education): teaching, research, graduate outcomes, outreach and reputation. It says nothing about cut-offs. Some ranks are for the university a college belongs to.
- High demand · Top 10 / Top 50
- Where the college stands among all MBBS (or BDS) colleges by its round 1 Open closing rank in 2026: how early toppers chose it. It measures demand, not quality.
MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing colleges by state
What is a NEET closing rank?
The highest NEET All-India Rank that still got a seat at a college, for one quota, category and counselling round. A rank equal to or better (smaller) than the closing rank got a seat there in 2026.
Do I use my category rank?
No. MCC allots every category by the NEET All-India Rank, so type your All-India Rank whatever your category.
Why do closing ranks rise from round 1 to round 3?
Candidates who upgrade or leave seats free them for lower ranks in later rounds.
Does this include state quota seats?
No. These are MCC’s All-India counselling ranks (15% All-India Quota, deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER and central institutions) and, for BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BSMS, AACCC’s All-India AYUSH counselling. Each state counsels its own 85% quota separately; the states added so far are under “Counselling”.
How to apply, from NEET to joining
NTA registration, then MCC counselling: registration, choice filling, rounds and reporting, step by step.
