Built for everyone
Planning a career should not depend on how you use a screen. DraftMyCareer works with screen readers (tested with VoiceOver on iPhone), a keyboard only and reduced motion.
Why this matters to us
Choosing a career is personal. You should be able to explore options, compare paths and plan your next step on your own, at your own pace, without having to ask someone else to read the screen or click for you.
We build DraftMyCareer with disabled people in mind from the start, not as an afterthought:
- Blind or low visionThe site is tested with VoiceOver on iPhone, with clear names, headings and spoken messages.
- Limited hand or arm movementEverything works with a keyboard only, and buttons are large enough to tap.
- Deaf or hard of hearingNothing on the site depends on sound: every roadmap, step and result is written text.
- Motion or light sensitivityAnimations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Dyslexia, ADHD or a learning differenceRoadmaps are broken into short phases and steps, with clear headings and progress you can save and pick up later.
- Colour blindnessText and labels meet colour-contrast guidelines in light and dark mode.
Your career, your choices, on your terms.
What works
Screen readers
Every button, link and field has a name, menus and filters say whether they are open or on, and messages such as "Message sent" are read out. Tested with VoiceOver on iPhone; built to work with VoiceOver on Mac, TalkBack (Android) and NVDA (Windows).
Keyboard only
You can use the whole site without a mouse. A "Skip to main content" link comes first, and a clear outline always shows where you are.
Easy to tap
Buttons and links are at least 24 pixels tall, so they are easy to hit on a phone.
Less motion
If your device asks for reduced motion, nothing on the site keeps moving or animating.
Readable in light and dark
Text and labels meet colour-contrast guidelines in both light and dark mode.
Your language
Every page tells your device which language it is in, so screen readers pronounce it correctly (English, Spanish, French, Hindi).
How we check
- An automated accessibility scan (WCAG 2.2 AA rules) of our main pages in light and dark mode, on desktop and phone sizes.
- A keyboard and screen-reader audit of 17 pages in English, Spanish and Hindi: headings, names, focus, tap sizes and motion.
- A manual check with VoiceOver on iPhone: the menu, filters, roadmap questions and steps, Find My Match and the contact form.
- Browser tests that run on every change, so these keep working.
Last checked: October 2026. We are not formally certified; this describes what we have checked.
Known limits
- Roadmap content is in English and Spanish. French and Hindi pages show the roadmap in English, and say so.
- Some official sources we link to (government and regulator sites) are not run by us and may be harder to use.
