5 missions jusqu’à UX Designer
4 mondes, 5 missions. Touchez un cercle pour l’ouvrir ; celui qui brille est le suivant.
Don't touch design software yet. UX is about solving psychological and structural problems before making them look appealing.
You are not your user. You must validate your assumptions by actually talking to people and observing their behavior.
It is time to digitize your ideas. Figma is the undisputed industry standard for product design.
Your portfolio is your resume. UX managers don't care where you went to school; they care about how you think.

Design Thinking & UX Fundamentals 1 étapes
Master the Design Thinking Process
Product teams rely on structured processes to solve problems. IDEO's 5-stage model (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test) is the industry standard.
Tâche concrète: Find an app you use daily that frequently frustrates you. Identify exactly what the friction point is. Write down one 'How Might We' statement (e.g., 'How might we make the checkout process shorter for returning users?'). Sketch 3 terrible solutions, and 2 good solutions on paper.
Pourquoi c’est important: Jumping straight into Figma makes you a software operator, not a designer. True UX designers define the right problem before attempting a solution.
Liste de contrôle
- Understand the 5 stages of Design Thinking
- Learn to define user problems using 'How Might We' statements
- Understand the difference between UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface)
- Learn about Information Architecture (IA): how to organize content logically
- Study foundational UX laws: Fitts's Law, Hick's Law, and Miller's Law
User Research & Empathy 1 étapes
Conducting Qualitative Research
A designer who doesn't talk to users is just guessing. Learn how to extract honest feedback without leading the witness.
Tâche concrète: Pick a popular e-commerce site. Write a script asking a user to find and 'purchase' a specific gift item under $50. Sit next to a friend or family member and ask them to complete the task while thinking out loud. Do NOT help them. Take notes on where they hesitate or click the wrong thing.
Pourquoi c’est important: User research destroys office politics. When a manager says 'Users want this feature', you need the skill to say 'Actually, our usability tests show it confuses 80% of our users'.
Liste de contrôle
- Learn the difference between qualitative (interviews) and quantitative (surveys) research
- Draft a user interview script with open-ended, non-leading questions
- Synthesize raw research notes into Empathy Maps and User Personas
- Map out the current User Journey (pain points and emotional highs/lows)
- Learn how to conduct an unmoderated Usability Test
Figma & Prototyping 2 étapes
Wireframing & Low-Fidelity
Focus on layout, structure, and user flow before worrying about colors and typography.
Tâche concrète: Design a 5-screen wireframe flow in Figma for a 'Food Delivery App' checkout process. Make the buttons clickable so a user can navigate from the 'Cart' to 'Order Confirmation'. Keep everything gray. Share the prototype link with a peer for feedback.
Pourquoi c’est important: Adding color too early distracts stakeholders. They will argue about whether a button should be blue or red, instead of whether the button should exist at all.
Liste de contrôle
- Sketch paper wireframes (Crazy 8s technique)
- Translate paper sketches into low-fidelity digital frames in Figma
- Use only grayscale boxes and standard text to map out the Information Architecture
- Create a clickable low-fidelity prototype in Figma to test the screen transitions
- Solicit feedback on the logic of the flow, ignoring visual design
Mastering High-Fidelity UI in Figma
Learn the technical tools of Figma to create production-ready designs that developers can actually build.
Tâche concrète: Take your grayscale checkout flow and apply a full Design System. Create a master 'Primary Button' component using Auto-Layout with Hover and Disabled variants. Apply a consistent 8pt spacing grid. Polish the UI to look identical to a live, professional app.
Pourquoi c’est important: If you hand off messy Figma files without Auto-Layout or Components, developers will hate you, and the final coded product will look broken.
Liste de contrôle
- Understand Auto-Layout (Figma's superpower for responsive design)
- Master Components and Variants to keep buttons and inputs consistent
- Understand Design Systems and how to set up global Typography and Color variables
- Apply UI fundamentals: visual hierarchy, spacing systems (e.g., 8pt grid), and contrast
- Adhere to platform guidelines (Apple HIG for iOS, Google Material Design for Android)
The Portfolio & Career Launch 1 étapes
Crafting UX Case Studies
A case study is a story. It should explain the problem, your research, your iterations, and the final solution.
Tâche concrète: Write a 1,500-word case study for one of your projects. Ensure at least 40% of the screen space is taken up by visuals (research artifacts, wireframes, final UI). Get it reviewed for free by a senior designer on ADPList before applying to jobs.
Pourquoi c’est important: Countless juniors post galleries of pretty UIs on Dribbble and call it a UX portfolio. Hiring managers reject them instantly because they show no evidence of problem-solving.
Liste de contrôle
- Complete 2-3 deep, high-quality projects (quality vastly over quantity)
- Structure case studies logically: Context/Problem → Research → Iterations → Final UI → Takeaways
- Write highly scannable copy (bullet points, bold text) because recruiters only spend 2 minutes per portfolio
- Show your messy process: include photos of sticky notes, paper sketches, and failed iterations
- Host your portfolio on an accessible site (Notion, Framer, Webflow, or UXfol.io)
